Our family-run business in Fownhope, Herefordshire has been productive in many areas of farming since 1923. The farm itself lies in the glorious Herefordshire border countryside. It is steeped in history, with some buildings dating from the 15th century.

Our background in dairy production, contracting and arable farming has led to a number of new enterprises and we now farm more than 1,300 acres across Herefordshire and Gloucestershire – in hand and on contract – with care for the environment high among our aims.

Caplor Farm aims to address vital topics such as the need for local, high-quality produce, food miles and rural education in practical and meaningful ways.

This holistic approach extends to our business projects, chief of which is a house-building scheme and property business.
